Congratulations!  You are having a baby.  There are a multitude of choices you have been making.  You have carefully chosen your caregiver, your birthplace, and who you would like to have in attendance.  You never imagined that you would end up on bed rest prescribed by your doctor.  Now, you are limited by your bed rest situation.

An antepartum doula is here to support you during this stage.

What is an Antepartum Doula?

An Antepartum Doula is an additional member of your prenatal team.  A certified Antepartum Doula is specifically trained and educated to assist women/couples with a high risk pregnancy, who may or may not be on bed rest.  An Antepartum Doula assists pregnant women with medical conditions necessitating the need for help.

Pampered Pregger & Beyond offers education, physical support in the way of bed rest assistance and care, errands, home care, meal preparation and emotional support.  We do a little bit of everything depending on what your needs are including researcher, confidante, child birth educator, organizer, hand-holder, shoulder to cry on and simply and extra pair of hands around the house to help with life.

The word doula is a Greek word that means women’s servant. Women have been serving other women in childbirth for centuries and have proven that this support from another woman has positive effects on the mother.
